Update Weight Watchers Week 9

I went to my WW meeting 2 days ago to weigh in and I lost 1.4 pounds. I have lost a total of 6.4 pounds!!! I am so happy. I got my first 5 pounds loss sticker. They give you a star sticker whenever you lose 5 pounds. It's so great. It makes me feel like I'm in middle school again when they would award you with a sticker every time you do something great. I will make a video vlog when I reach 10 pounds lost.

Super Sore!

After my first work out I am super sore. I hurt all over, it hurts to squat the most. I guess that it's a good thing and let's me know that I had a great workout yesterday. I worked out for an hour with my personal trainer and then did 30 minutes on the treadmill which I had no idea that I was going to be able to last that long. I surprised myself. I actually walked over a mile and a half. Definitely something I didn't think I was able to do.

Personal Trainer Time!

I decided if I want to get into shape I need to start exercising. Since I don't like to exercise I decided to get a personal trainer. I have had a personal trainer once in the past and I wasn't really devoted to it 100%. This time I really want to get into shape. So I started googling personal trainers and stumbled across "in home personal trainers." For some reason it never dawned on me to ever get a in home one. So I scheduled an appointment for today. I will be working with a personal trainer two times a week hopefully for one month straight and then take it from there.

As far as stats and everything go I am the same weight and still look like the pictures posted in my last blog. I am thinking about starting a weight loss vlog on my new channel. Let me know if that is something you would be interesting in seeing.

My New Ombre Highlights

I did a lot of research and decided to try a new salon and new stylist. I have truly found the best of the best in my city. The salon is called Identity and my new stylist's name is Jay. Jay is an amazing person and stylist. He loves what he does and his work's of art really show that. So I decided to take the plunge and get ombre highlights. I just recently found out about them through a friend from youtube named yummiebitez. Check her out on youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/yummiebitez She inspired me to get them. When it comes to my hair I like to take things slowly. After the last haircut I got a few years ago where the stylist cut all my hair off I have been very afraid to get anything more than a trim. I really wanted to try the more dramatic ombre look but again I was to chicken to. I might do it next year. But for the time being I got a more natural and less noticeable ombre. All of my highlights are underneath and are more noticeable if I wear my hair up. If you're interested in going to the same salon I went to and are ever in the Greenville area.

Fall Semester Begins

Today is my first day of my 3rd semester in College. I can't believe I have made it this far. I am officially a Sophomore now! Boy does the time fly! I am currently pursuing a business degree in Marketing.

Some exciting news! My car is finally home!!! The transmission was blown on it and it took 3 months to completely rebuild but it's all done and I have my car back. I will never take my car for granted again.

I've also have a new found obsession and I will be making a video about it real soon. The winner for my Anastasia Brow Contest has been selected and I will be announcing the winner soon! I also have some haul videos coming up and a few more exciting projects coming soon too. I have just recently hit 9,000 subscribers!!! I am super excited! Thank you so much to all my wonderful subbies! I truly would not be where I am today without you guys! I will be holding a huge contest when I hit 10,000! I can't wait! It'll be awesome!

New Blog Design!

So it only took me 3 hours but I finally finished my blog design. The reason it took me so long is because I had absolutely no idea what the heck I was doing. So a few googling here and a lot more googling there I finally was able to get my blog template the way I wanted it. So let me know what you think. I am also on a new health kick. I am trying to lower my sodium intake. I am a huge salt lover and hardly eat any sweets. So I decided to just cut my salt intake in half and see if it will cut down on how much water I would retain. So I am on day two of lowering my salt intake and it has been really hard. The first day wasn't too bad but later that night I just wanted to eat a bunch of salty junk foods and spicy ramen noodles. Your body should have around 2500 mg of sodium a day and if you have high cholesterol your sodium intake should be around 1500 mg per day. So I am trying to have 1500-1800 mg of sodium per day versus the 3000-4000 mg I was previosly getting. I am also trying to drink plenty of water as well.

Guess what!!!??? I am going to Florida in 4 weeks!!! I can't wait. Originally we were supposed to go to see the last scheduled space shuttle launch but it has now been rescheduled for November so I will be going regardless and enjoy a well over due mini vacation. I can't wait! I plan to shop and eat at the finest restaurants and lay on the beach and do absolutely nothing! So since I will be going to Florida and plan on spending majority of my time on the beach I am trying to tone up and get back into my bikini body. I can't wait and I will keep you guys posted.

My Ears are popping!!!

So for the past month my left ear would not stay popped. It was so annoying. For the first week I felt like I had to constantly pop my left ear and that they wouldn't stayed popped. I tried everything. I tried swim ear, ear wax softener and even and ear cleanser. Nothing worked. I did a lot of research online to try and diagnose myself since I just hate going to the doctors office unless I absolutely have to. So I finally thought that it was some kind of habit that I have taught myself to do. It drove in crazy and I would actually try to see how long I could go without popping my left ear. And I would go for quite awhile before I felt like I couldn't hold it in anymore and start popping my ears. The ear started to ache a little. I am assuming from all the ear popping that I had done. So finally a week ago I had had enough and called to make an appointment with my doctor to try and figure out what was going on.

So I just came back from my doctors appointment and they said that I had ear wax build up and that they were going to need to irrigate my ear and flush it out with warm water. They use this huge silver metal contraption and fill it with warm water, tell you to hold a cup what looks like a mini bed pan close to your ear to catch the water when it comes shooting back out of your ear and also give you a cover that looks like the conver gown you get when you go to your stylist to get your hair done. So the first time she did it. I felt a huge pressure of water go shooting into my ear and it felt like I had turn the faucet on directly in my ear. It felt so scary and she told me that nothing had come out. No ear wax that is. So she had to do it again. I remember thinking, Again? I'm scared that was scary enough the first time and then she did it again and again and again. But still no ear wax. So she did it a total of five times before she decided to get the doctor back in to see if the wax was still there. Well she had pushed the wax to the side and on the top part of my ear canal and out of the way of my ear drum. So the doctor could now see my ear drum and she wasn't able to see it before. She told me she found out what was causing my ears to feel like they needed to be constantly popped. The same feeling you get when you are on an airplane or drive through a mountain. Except that I didn't do either or. Well she told me that I had a few bubbles behind my ear drum indicating that I had fluid behind my ear drum, which is caused from having allergies which I had or a cold or sinus infection which also I had had. Well when that occurs your Eustachian tube which helps drain the fluids from your ears was swollen and prevented the fluid from draining and trapped behind my ear drum. So she prescribed me an antibiotic, congestion, antihistamine and some allergy medicine. So I will keep you posted and let you know how I feel later. My doctor told me that it would take about 12 weeks to drain.

Spring Break

So spring break is over. It came and went so quickly. It was a very fun week off from school. I got to catch up on all of my videos. And I got to relax from all my school work. I have started a new video series. The Monthly favorites. If you are not familiar with them it. It is where you take your favorites from the month before and make a video talking about your favorite last months things. It helps people decide what to try if that haven't done so before. I also made a video talking about how to get started on youtube. I started youtube 2 years ago and no subscribers. I now have over 70 videos posted and have over 7,000 subscribers. I just noticed all the 7's. lol. Very cool number. I am having a contest and can't wait to see how that turns out. This will be my biggest contest yet. Well here is my March favorites. Oh, and I almost forgot! I just found out on Easter how to make HD videos!!! So now all of my videos will be in HD. My first HD video didn't turn out so well, but that was because the lighting wasn't that great and that natural light is the best light that you can use. So I can't wait to get started on my next video and see how it turns out. I am super excited! Well again here is my March favorites. Enjoy!

My New Hair Highlights!!!

So I decided to get some highlights to prepare myself for Spring. I went to my Hair Stylist Joy and she highlighted my hair and added a caramel toner to it. A toner is a color. If you have dark hair, you have to get your hair bleached and then add color to it in order to reach your desired color.

Now let me back track you to the beginning of my day....

I woke up and got ready and before I leave the house I like to make sure everything is orderly and organized, which anyone that is big on organizing or O.C.D. knows that it takes forever to leave the house. So I got everything together and got myself ready and breakfast made and was ready to leave the house. So I get in my car and notice that the gas gage is on E. So I had to go back up stairs and get my other debit card and then the phone rings. It was my stylist telling me that I could come in 30 mins early if I wanted. I told her that I would try to make it there before my appointment time but I still had to pick up my friend on the other side of town and then of course stop by Starbucks and asked her if she would like anything from there too. So I then ran back downstairs got in my car and headed off to my friends house. So when I got to her street I had a hard time finding her house. It was my first time coming to her house and for some reason her street was very high traffic and since she told me she lived at the very beginning of the street I had to drive very slowly. And there were 10 cars behind me honking behind me to speed up. Needless to say I passed her house and finally arrived. So when I got there she of course showed me around since I had never been there, and then I decided to record a short video of the before look so I could upload it on youtube later. Well my friend was holding onto my camcorder like it was a baby and her index finger happen to be on the zoom button. So while she was recording me my face kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger and she had no idea why. Wo while she was recording me she started to freaking out and laughing and waved her arms hysterically to wrap it up so I thought the battery was dying so I did. By the way I had thought I had charged the camcorder but apparently I had not. So, I told her that the zoom button is on the top and that her finger was resting on it the whole time. So the ending of the video was cut out since it was mostly my nostrils. It ended up working out since it gave my viewers a close up on the before shot of my hair. So after we were done recording we headed off towards Starbucks and got us some drinks. Well needless to say I got lost on the way to hy hair stylist's Salon. I finally got there and was able to get started on my hair.

So after I had my hair done I get in my car to leave and come to find out my car doesn't start! I ran out of gas!!! Luckily there was a gas station right across the street, so I got to pump gas into my car the old fashion way for the first time and hopefully the last.

I had so much fun today!

So I hope everyone appreciates the pictures. I almost got arrested! Apparently you can't take pitures in the Mall. Go figure. I was stopped by American Eagles Manager and when I asked them why, they told me it was for "security reasons" What security reasons? You're not a bank? So I decided to take some pictures of myself outside the stores and then I was stopped my the police and was told unless you have children in the play area or Santa is around, there will be no picture taking in the Mall!

Wisdom Teeth Extraction

I had my wisdom teeth pulled today first thing this morning. The dentist told me that I would have to get my wisdom teeth taken out because I didn't have any room for them to grow. I decided to get a second opinion and then a third. And they all said the same thing. This was back in 2001 when they told I should have them removed. For the next few years I experienced the most painful feeling coming from my wisdom teeth trying to grow in. It would hurt for 1-2 weeks each time ever year. I never under stood the purpose of orajel because all that did was make my mouth taste funny and a little numb but did nothing for my teeth pain. The only thing that I found worked to help the pain go away was rinsing with salt water and taking some pain medicines like advil or aleve. But again it would be a temporary fix. So this past March I started to feel the pain coming back and I knew then that I would have to get these teeth taken out before it became completely unbearable. I wasn't able to eat or even talk at times. And the pain would get so bad the thought of the whole ice skate incident on "Castaway" started to sound like a wonderful idea. So I called the Dentist office to make an apoinment to get some x-rays done and of course a teeth cleaning while I was there.

So I got to the Dentist office and they took x-rays of my mouth and found that I had 2 impacted teeth on the bottom and the two top ones were fully grown in and the one on the left had started rotting. So I asked the Dentist once again if I would need to get them taken out and he said yes. They gave me a few recommendations and the numbers to the Oral Surgeons office and as soon as I came home I started calling around for prices.

Delaing with the Insurance Company
I call my insurance company to check and see how much their coverage was and they told me with oral surgeries would be 20/80 meaning I would pay 20% and my insurance would cover 80%. However no Oral Surgeon in the whole State of South Carolina was a PPO Preferred provider organization, which basically ment that they would still cover me 80% but anything that was charged over the allowed allowance of my insurance company would be my responsibility. Luckily the place that I went to was well under the allowed amount. However would only cover the Sedation and not the Nitrous Oxide a.k.a.(happy gas) so luckily getting knocked out was my only option.

Making an appointment
I called the Oral Surgeons office and set up an appointment for Oct 6th at 8:30am. So I could go first thing in the morning and get it over with. I also called my parents so they could come over and help me through all this. Gotta love it when your parents are here for you and nursing you back to health. Nothing else like it.

The day of the appointment and what to expect
I made sure to put my camara next to my purse so that I would be able to record myself afterwards to see how silly I looked. And hopefully post it on youtube for my lovely subscribers to see. I woke up at 6:45am that morning and read more information about how to take care of yourself and what all to expect. I found some useful information. It's very important to not smoke, spit, rinse, eat any solid or hot foods or use a straw the first 24 hours and as long as you can afterwards. The first 4-5 days is the most crucial time to let your gums heal and prevent dry sockets. The reason for this is because of you may cause a dry socket. A dry socket is any socket in which a patient is having pain due to the loss of the blood clot thus exposing the bone to air, food, and fluids along with an offensive odor. This often occurs two or more days after an extraction and can last about 5-6 days. It is normal to have soreness and discomfort following an extraction.

On the way to the Oral Surgeons Office
The traffic was pretty bad, but it always is at 7:50am in the morning. I listed to my favorite radio station that morning b93.7 and listened to Hawk and Tom in the morning, they are hilarious. They were talking about zits and undies. So I got a good laugh considering I was a mess. I felt like I was going to pass out in the car from all the anxiety I was feeling from being so nervous. They say that the fear of the unknown is what people are actually afraid of the most. So I kept trying to remind myself of that and to take deep soothing breathes. As we pulled in to the Oral Surgeons Office we ended up showing up 30 minutes earlier, so I decided to take some pitures and listen to the radio until they opened the doors for us to go in. There was an older couple that had an appointment and were waiting for the doors to open as well. And my husband saw the 75 year old man going to check on the door every 10 minutes and made a joke saying, "Well I guess we'll know when they open the doors because Mr. Impatient over there keeps checking." It was cute and funny. When the doors finally opened. I opened the car door and told my husband that I was good to go and no longer in any pain and that I changed my mind. And her told me that there was no turning back. dun dun dun.

My procedure
So when I got there. They called my name while my husband read a magazing and waited in the waiting room. The dental assistant April asked me if I needed to use the restroom and I told her no. And as soon as I sat down I asked her if I could go give my pocket book to my husband and after I did that I asked to use the restroom. So when I came back I was told to sit in the Dentist chair and lean back. Then I started to feel a little nervous again. the lady there was very nice and polite and told me that my teeth didn't look that bad and that it would probably be a pretty easy procedure. So that made me feel a little better. The Oral Surgeon came in and he took one look at me and told me that looking at me reminded him how much he missed Hawaii. I was wondering if he knew I was actually Korean. Which he did mention that I looked Asian. And said thank you. I told him my brother in law actually went to Hawaii and that he said the area was beautiful. The Oral Surgeon Dr. Traynham asked me if I had ever been and I told him no but my brother in law showed me lots of pictures. So Dr. Traynham told me that I had nothing to worry about and that everything should go smoothly. They had me sign a form stating everything that might or could occur. One of the things that was listed was may cause heart problems or even death. I was like ok whatever signed and returned the paper work back to them. Don't you just love it when you read somethind and the symtoms always seem to include in rare cases may cause death. Well after talking with Dr. Traynham he told me that he was going to give me something to take the edge off and make me more relaxed. I was like "sweet" bring on the good stuff. So he came back a few minutes later and gave me a shot to relax me. As April was applying the band-aid I asked her what that was that Dr. Traynham injected and she said some kind of relaxer. I was like okay. they said that it was supposed to take about 20 mintutes for it to completely kick in. And for someo reason I remember looking at the clock and it being 8:50 and I sorda remember April having to pick me up in the chair, I must have scooted a little. And after that I found myself sitting there some what awake and my husband coming in to see me. I asked him "What happened, is it over, have they even started, is it time to go home?" He said yep you're all done. What?! Really?! Weird.

Coming Home
So right before we left the parking lot, my loving husband recorded me so I could post the video later on youtube. And then I started to record myself a few times before the batteries died. You know how people normally don't have any recollection of what happened shortly afterwards. I was only in lala land for about 30 minutes to an hour. they must have made me wait in the recovery room before sending me home. Because as soon as we were in the car at 11:00am I was coherant enough to remember going to the car and video taping myself. So thankfully after they sedate you you quickly snap out of it about 30 minutes to an hour later. As soon as we got home my husband went to CVS to get my prescription medicine. There were four. A pain reliever oxycodone for pain, some suppository to relieve nausea because pain medicines make me feel queezy, aome antibotics, and another medicine to help my digestive tract. It was alot of medicine. As soon as I got home I drank a french vanilla slimfast, which by the way was one of the trickest things to do. I couldn't feel my bottom lip so I pretty much wore most of it, too bad you can't use a straw. Then took a pain pill and fell asleep for 2 hours and am now typing this blog.

apple sauce, mashed potatoes, tomato soup, chicken noodle or any soup etc. oat meal, mashed anything, slimfast, ice cream and yogurt

I am so motivated! I want to thank my family for all their positive motivation. My loving husband for eating alot of leftovers and telling me I'm beautiful no matter what. My parents have encouraged me every step of the way. Even when I felt discouraged. Plenty of times I felt like giving up. My mom helped me realize that if you put your mind to anything you can do it. My dad is the one that introduced me to this diet and if it wasn't for him I would be 141+lbs heavier. I am very thankful to have such a supporting family. So I finally made an appointment to get my wisdom teeth taken out on the 6th of October! Yikes! Has anyone else had all of their 4 wisdom teeth taken out?

I Finally reached my Goal of 120 lbs!!!

So I stepped on the scale this morning and it read 120.4 lbs! I am super excited! I can't believe it took me almost 2 weeks to lose 1 pound. Will I did it I reached my goal. My next goal will be to lower my body fat percentage. Right now it is at a 28.5 percent. Which means that my body is 28.5 percent fat. I am hoping to get it down to 23 percent. My water percent is at 51 percent. And I am hoping to get that at 55 percent. I have one of those new weighing scales that measures my body fat and water percentage. It's actually really handy especially when you are trying to lose weight and get healtier. So that you can make sure your not losing muscle mass while you are dieting. Like I promised I will be coming out with another video this weekend. Thank you for all your support. I am making a list of all the questions that I received so far and will be answering them in my next upcoming video. Thanks for all your support.

3 Day Diet

My new diet! The 3 day diet! It really works! This is the only diet that I have tried that really gives you the results you want. I started this diet on 6/23/2009 and have been on it for 10 weeks now. I started this diet at 141 lbs and was able to get down to 122 lbs. www.3daydiet.com I am amazed with the results. I have dropped the weight so quickly that I am more determinted than ever. I have tried just about every diet out there. And have failed at every single one of them. The 3 Day Diet meal plan:

Day 1

Breakfast

Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet & Low or Equal

1/2 grapefruit or juice

1 piece toast with 1 tablespoon peanut butter

Lunch

1/2 cup tuna

1 piece toast

Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet & Low or Equal

Dinner

3 ounces any lean meat or chicken

1 cup green beans

1 cup carrots

1 apple

1 cup regular vanilla ice cream

Day 2

Breakfast

Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet & Low or Equal

1 egg

1/2 banana

1 piece toast

Lunch

1 cup cottage cheese or tuna

8 regular saltine crackers

Dinner

2 beef franks

1 cup broccoli or cabbage

1/2 cup carrots

1/2 banana

1/2 cup regular vanilla ice cream

Day 3

Breakfast

Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet & Low or Equal

5 regular saltine crackers

1 ounce cheddar cheese

1 apple

Lunch

Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet & Low or Equal

1 boiled egg

1 piece toast

Dinner

1 cup tuna

1 cup carrots

1 cup cauliflower

1 cup melon

1/2 cup regular vanilla ice cream

Bridal Shower

So I attended my first Bridal Shower ever! I had a blast. The bride to be's husband is related to my husband. Her name is Anna and they are getting married this Summer. I am having the greatest time picking out dresses for the wedding! The Bridal Shower was great and I enjoyed every minute of it.

I just ordered a new camcorder so hopefully my videos will be much clearer. I can't wait! I should get it in the mail soon. So I am trying to get the hang of this whole blog thing. Please be patient with me. I have been getting alot of requests for more pictures of my new haircut. I should have some more up shortly. Probably in the next week or so. I seriously feel bald. I haven't had my hair this short since I was in the 9th grade. Which is a long time ago. So anywho if anyone knows how to pimp up my blog please let me know.

So I got a new haircut and style from my new favorite stylist Jennifer from Augusta Place Salon. I wanted something new and major. So I told her what I liked and she ran with it. She knew exactly what I was wanting. She told me what she thought would look the best on me. She's so great at her job, she's god's gift to sissors. I wasn't quite sure how many inches I wanted to get cut off but I knew the shortest I was willing to go would be right passed my shoulders, which is exactly where she cut my hair. I love it. I am still trying to get used to the fact that most of my hair is gone but at the same time it is so nice to not have to try so hard to style it or blowdry it. I literally just towel dry my hair and then I comb it and that's it. And it's still long enough so that I can pull it back into a ponytail. Which is how my hair is worn 90% of the time. She also added some natural aurburn highlights. And I have to agree with her that they are the most flattering color when it comes to my hair color. My Best Friend and Stylist highly suggested the long asymmetrical bob that I was too chicken to get. But now that I am brave enough to have my hair that short as long as I can still able to pull my hair into a ponytail, I may actually try that style next.
